The Alientech KESS3 is the current generation of Alientech's flagship ECU programming tool, combining OBD, bench, and boot-mode protocols in a single device. Released in 2020 as the successor to the KESSv2, it supports over 5,000 ECU types across cars, bikes, trucks, and agricultural equipment.
KESS3 operates via a Master/Slave license model: Master units can read and write freely, while Slave units require pre-purchased credits or tokens. The tool uses Alientech's cloud-based software (K-Suite 3) and supports encrypted ECU protocols including Bosch MG1, Continental SIMOS18, and Marelli MJD9. It is the most widely used professional tuning tool in Europe.
