Alientech K-TAG — Bench ECU Programmer

ecufiles.io file service — compatible with all major tuning tools

The Alientech K-TAG is a bench-mode ECU programmer that connects directly to the ECU circuit board or via dedicated harness adapters, bypassing OBD security entirely. It is the preferred tool for ECUs that cannot be read via OBD or where OBD programming has failed.

K-TAG supports BDM (Background Debug Mode), JTAG, and direct flash chip reading via probe connections. It pairs with KESS3 in professional workshop setups — KESS3 for standard OBD work, K-TAG for locked or bench-only ECUs. The tool requires the ECU to be removed from the vehicle.

Protocols Supported
  • BDM (Background Debug Mode)
  • JTAG debug interface
  • Boot mode via dedicated ECU harnesses
  • Direct EEPROM/Flash chip reading via probes
Compatible ECUs
  • Bosch MG1 (bench required for locked units)
  • Bosch EDC17 (bench variants)
  • Continental SIMOS18.10 bench
  • Delphi DCM7.1 bench
  • Marelli MJD9.X secured variants
⚠ K-TAG requires the ECU to be physically removed from the vehicle. Professional use only — incorrect connections can permanently damage the ECU.
